Karen Neal

artist karen nealKaren is a local artist from Marlborough, she is self-taught and her passion is painting mostly animals (wildlife & pet portraits), she paints in Oils, Pastel and also produces Graphite Pencil and Scratchboard artworks.
Karen is committed to supporting animal conservation through her artwork. She contributes to the following causes: NZ Animal Shelter HUHANZ, Marlborough's SPCA and various animal welfare organisations or conservation groups.
We are very proud to showcase Karen's work – original paintings, limited edition prints and and a selection of gift cards.

Peter Davidson

Peter is a local Marlborough artist and known for his Pen & Ink drawings and has recorded many of the areas historic buildings and machinery, some of which have long since disappeared. He is an active member of the Marlborough art society and has had 2 exhibitions in 2008 and 2010. His next exhibition is "Back Country Huts of Marlborough" in October 2013.
We are pleased to have the opportunity to show some of Peter's wonderful pen and ink drawings.

Graham's paintings of landscapes are well known, he has painted extensively from Northland to Stewart Island. However, Marlborough with its many contrasts of coastline, mountains and valleys remains very much a favourite and we are very pleased to have the opportunity to show his work.

Bonnie comes from an artistic family and was always encouraged to explore her creative side while growing up. She lived in a very isolated area of the West Coast of NZ when she was young and had no electricity or modern convenience’s. This played a large part in nurturing her creative side.
Her art is all about self expression. She loves to experiment with paint application and discover new effects. She loves colour and to create colourful textured compositions.


Joanna Upperton

Marlborough based artist Joanna Upperton has a fun-loving and quirky imagination which consistently challenges the viewer to find the “twist”. Each piece has a slightly surreal flavour, where Joanna desires to create works that will “delight” or “enchant” the viewer.

Tony Haswell

tony haswell Tony Haswell creates abstract landscapes inspired by New Zealand’s amazing and unique beauty. Growing up in the top of the South, the landscapes of the West Coast, Golden Bay, Tasman, Marlborough and Kaikoura had a profound effect on Tony. His works reflect this amazing part of New Zealand, Tony draws inspiration from the rugged mountains and rolling hills through to the coastlines and oceans.

French Fields Lavender

lavender giftsWe are very pleased to be selling lavender products produced locally at French Fields, these include hand painted cards, gorgeous lavender bags, lavender sprays and lavender oil.

French Fields offer boutique bed & breakfast accommodation in the midst of fields of lavender and olives, experience a taste of French Provence in Marlborough.

Based in Takaka, Golden Bay, Living Light Candles began in 1997 with a small team of candle makers and has now grown to be a team of 15 staff making over 400,000 candles each year. Each candle is still fully handcrafted and Cynthia Baur (owner of Living Light Candles) intends to remain New Zealand made.

In 2009, soy wax collections were introduced and quickly became central to the range. Living Light has stopped production of all paraffin wax candles and uses only recycled paraffin, in support of its commitment to environmentally sustainable manufacturing.
